Pinnacle Lead’s Internship Series - Who’s Geet?
As our last article shared, Pinnacle Lead launched it’s 2021 Summer Internship to provide a platform for future leaders an opportunity to gain more clarity into the innovation space…but who are they?
It’s week 2 and welcome to our Pinnacle Lead Internship Series, where we will get to know more about each of our future leaders as well as a glimpse into their internship…so far…and to kick us off, I’d like to introduce to you the youngest of our program…Geet…wait…or is it Google?
Who are you Geet?
“Some call me 'Google', others call me a chatterbox, but my name is Geetika Sachanandani (yes my last name is long)! I'm 18 years old, and I'm still on the journey of figuring out what life is. I'm an avid dancer and a nail art enthusiast. I'll have hearts on my nails one week, and a whole solar system the next week. I also love having intense debates on politics and public figures (Ps Hamilton vs Verstappen? Always Verstappen). People say I was born with an incredibly annoying urge to ask "why", which explains why I can crush Trivia games at times”
Where and What do you currently study?
“I’m currently studying a BBA with majors in EDI (Entrepreneurship, Design and Innovation) and Marketing & a minor in French at the University of Hong Kong. I just completed my first year (mainly online) and can’t wait to see what campus life is about!!!”
Why did you choose Pinnacle Lead for your internship and what are you trying to get out of it?
“Pinnacle Lead really stood out as an interesting company given their unique focus within the innovation space. After reading about the company, I knew that their core values aligned well with what I believe in. Moreover, as a BBA student majoring in EDI, seeing how their internship program is individually tailored, I knew that they genuinely wanted to give their interns a meaningful experience, while educating us on talent advisory and what the company do. I hope to learn more about the overall innovation ecosystem, ways to build meaningful business relationships, while learning to become stronger at thinking on the fly.”
How is your experience so far?
“ So far the experience has been really exciting! It allows me to step out of my own comfort zone, with plenty of guidance and support along the way. The tasks are definitely not the easiest, but we're never barred from asking questions, or having fun along the way. Everyone at the office is super sweet, and it’s fascinating to learn the tricks of the trade from them.”
Who do you want to talk to if you can speak to anyone in the world and why?
“I would love to speak to Bernard Arnault, the chief executive of LVMH! I've always loved luxury brands, and the way that Arnault shot up and brought LVMH with him, after assuming leadership at the company is worldly. The fact that the houses and companies under LVMH don't lose their touch, yet continue to get a boost through adopting innovation always amazes me. I’d love to hear more about his future vision for the company, how he fits innovation into his strategy, and how it felt seeing the firm recover financially from the COVID slump.”
