To wrap up week three of the internship, here’s the next of our Pinnacle Lead Internship Series, a series to get to know more about each of our future leaders under placement as well as a glimpse into their internship…today, we have Alsha…
Who are you Alsha?
“If I had to describe myself in one word it would be ACTIVE. I’m always on the move! Having lived in Hong Kong the whole of my life, I can say that there is so much this city has to offer. On the weekends you can find me going on outdoor adventures from hikes and coasteering to kayaking. I also love searching for Hong Kong’s hidden gems before exploring teh cool new bars and finding the best deals. I’ve always been an avid traveler and am making good progress on my foal of visiting 50 countries by 50, and my favorite place so far would definitely be Budapest. In terms of my career, I have a keen interest in consulting which ca be backed by my strengths in creativity, critical thinking and analysis. I love to meet new people and will take every opportunity to try different things and expand my world view. ”
Where and What do you currently study?
“I’m about to enter the final year of my BBA in Economics and Information Systems at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology”
Why did you choose Pinnacle Lead for your internship and what are you trying to get out of it?
“I chose Pinnacle Lead because I was seeking an experience where I could work in a highly energetic and fun environment while also taking the knowledge I’ve learned at university and put it into practice. Whilst it’s only week three, I’ve learned a lot and have already come across so many opportunities to grow. I also really resonate with the company’s empahsis on innovation, I can see that it’s a work experience where I can really be creative, think outside of the box and gain a wide exposure. Already I have been pushed to think deeply about my own career path and identify how I can achieve my personal goals whilst also developing my skillset along the way. At the same time, I love being able to see the impacts of my contributions to the company and that’s been a strong motivating factor and makes me feel like a valuable member of the team.”
How is your experience so far?
“I’ve learned a lot of already which could be attributed to jumping straight into the deep end, and discovering what I’m capable of. Everyone at Pinnacle Lead is very open and supportive which has definitely helped me to step out of my comfort zone. I’ve taken on more challenges which really allowed me to see myself grow in terms of my confidence and ability to adapt to a given situation. The team is very inspiring and I’m very much looking forward to learning more tips and tricks on how to succeed like them.”
Who do you want to talk to if you can speak to anyone in the world and why?
“I’d love the opportunity to talk to Elon Musk. I’ve seen a bunch of his interviews but I’d love to have a chat and really find out what he’s thinking ad how he comes up with all his ideas. It’s so interesting to me how he doesn’t fit into the traditional expectations of a CEO and the influence he has on the masses through memes. ”
